Sali Boti Chicken

Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken
- 5 tbsp Oil
- 6 Green Cardamons
- 1 inch stick of Cinnamon
- 6 Cloves
- 2 large Onions chopped
- 2 large Tomatoes chopped
- 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 tsp Kashmiri Chilli powder
- 1 tsp Cumin powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp Yoghurt
- 1 tsp Garam Masala powder
- 1 and ½ tsp Salt
- 1 cup Sali (Store bought)
Method
Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves; sauté until fragrant. Incorporate chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw aroma dissipates. Mix in chili powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Then add yoghurt and blend well. Introduce the chicken pieces and sauté for 5 minutes until they are well-coated with the masala. Add water, stir, cover and cook for 25 minutes. Open and add garam masala powder, give it a final mix. Just before serving, top with crispy sali(potato Straws) and garnish with fresh coriander.
